EBHS Veteran FlyOver

Here they are! And I am pooped! Way tooooo many cupcakes for one working woman to do! But I'm glad I did it for such a good cause. I made homemade Chocolate, Vanilla, and Red Velvet cupcakes with a cream cheese buttercream icing. ( the red velvet was the favorite again).

This event began 11 years ago as one man, Jody, wanted to pay tribute to the East Beauregard High School graduates that joined the military and became our nations Heros. With each coming year, the event grew bigger and bigger. The local community now pitches in and BBQ's for not only the EBHS Heros but, for ALL of Southwest Louisiana military Heros. I was glad to help. My son, David, (an EBHS graduate & USMC Sargeant) will be leaving soon for his final deployment before coming home for good after serving 8 years in the USMC. I will be holding my breath and counting down the days until he finally comes back home to Louisiana!

Jailyn's Cupcake Tower

My first attempt making a cupcake tower. This one is for my 4-yr old grandaughter, Jailyn. We're having a dress-up party this Saturday. I just covered cake boards with wrapping paper and used 2-sided tape to attach the ribbon. Hope it holds up!

Pirate Cookies

Pirate Cookies for my grand-nephew's 1st birthday!

The kids at the party liked the skulls the best! Which of course was my least favorite to decorate so my artist husband had to help (thanks,Sug). One little girl did pick a map cookie out of the bunch. I thought kinda funny. She says, I'd like a map cookie. Ya know how that made my day!
